Hi there concerning the interactive house track (who doesn't what the hell I'm doing about please have a look in the recording section of the forum) I started some sample spotting to find some nice samples we could use. So here are my first suggestions:

Note: for downloading please click the link than click on the buton free than type in the code provided next to the input field than you have to wait 45 seconds upper right corner (only one download at a time possible)

Dynasty – I don't wanna be a freak

This one was sampled by a eurodance song. But not the part i choose. I just love the violines and the piano after them. This is my favorite sample at the moment.

Candi Staton – Victim

This one has been sample by Paul Johnson for Doo doo wap. But I found a nice sample for a loop based house song. First listen to the part of the song which I mean:

Now I looped it raised the tempo and put a beat under and it for a better understanding of what I mean.

So what do you think ?

Sylvia Striplin- Give me your love
http://rapidshare.de/files/17436146/Sylvia_Striplin_-_Give_Me_Your_Love.mp3.html
I know this one has already been sampled. For example by Armand van Helden for Full Moon. But the part I chose hasn't been sampled as far as I know.
The sample can be used for a nice chilly moody house song.

Tina Charles - feels like I'm in love

This one sounds to me like a good electro sample. What to you think ?

Chic – you are beutiful
http://rapidshare.de/files/17435867/Chic_-_You_Are_Beautiful.mp3.html
Nice guitar riff.

Erotic Drum Band – Action 78
http://rapidshare.de/files/17435959/Erotic_Drum_Band_-_Action_78.mp3.html
Nothing special in particular just listen

Jimmy Bo Horne – Spank

Has also been sampled by d menace and by roger sanchez as far as I remember. But nobody used the best part of the song in my opinion

More samples to come the next days. So now I am very curious what you thing which sampled got be a potential one for the Inlounge interactive house song ? :)

EDIT BY MARK:
I uploaded the files so you can grab them very comfortable in one zip file:

Hi JR, first of all I really appreciate the effort you put into this.
Thanks a lot! We need people like you to keep things like forums interesting.

Concerning the samples: There are a few that really bring back memories of the time when tunes like "Feel The Same" or "Sunshine and Happiness" were big in clubs. I am curious to hear the rest of your samples...

Lets wait what the other people have to say.

Cheers!

So are there any comments to my submissions?
What do you people think? Are there any possible samples for our online track project ? Which one to you like best?

Here are my comments to the new bunch of samples (002):

Carrie Lucas – I gotta keep dancing

Nice Horns !

Beatles – I want to hold your hand

Maybe this guitar riff from the starting could be used in some kind of way.

Oliver Onions – Parie dispari (Brotherly Love) Bud Spencer & Terence Hill

Maybe we could do a kind of house Version of that song. I like the vocals and the melody.
There is also an instrumental Version were the vocals are replaced by a synth sound. What do you think ?

Michael Jackson - Off the wall

I know there is already a house version of the song (by the way the song from michael Jackson is awesome)but I'm talking about using the small sax melody in some kind of way.

The Ventures – Walk don't run

Another Guitar riff.

Barry White – My sweet summer suite

Barry White ladies and gentlemen...no comment !

Silver, Platnium & Gold – I got a thing

I am not quite sure but I think this one has already been used in a house song. If not its time to do so!

Joe Bataan – Aftershower funk

An interesting funky guitar riff !

Ramsey Lewis – Spring high

I like the melody but I think for a house song it sounds better if its played with violines.

The Ventures - Wild child

A part of the song has already been used by „The wiseguys – Start the commotion“ you hear the guitar riff in the background. The guitar riff I mean you hear in front the first part of it is also in the wiseguys song.

Alright folks!
Now it has been a while since I posted the samples. They have been downloaded about 40 Times now. But there is not one comment on using one of them as sample for a house song.
I'm really courious what you guys think. So please post your comment.

Is there still interest in doing a house song together?

I like a lot of your samples JR.
Unfortunately this site is still lacking new people visiting us. Possible projects like this need loads of people and a big community. Maybe this will change in the future...
