I've always thought Paul's first release was the best of his career (including the Buffalo Bunch stuff). Spaced Out is amazing, and for me epitomizes everything I liked about house music and everything that drew me to it. Holy Ghostz was a more than worthy B-side.
But when I first heard of Spaced Out 2, I wasn't looking forward to hearing it because I wondered about how good a follow up to such a fantastic tune could really be. And I was very disappointed when I did, to hear basically a copy. I still think its a very poor track, and I'd implore anyone to check out S.O1 before S.O2.

I agree. "Spaced Out 1" is WAY better than "Spaced Out 2." It's a shame that he didn't release anymore tracks during the "French House Era." Buffalo Bunch had SO much potential, and I had always hoped that they would put something else out. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be happening anytime soon.
When it comes to Paul, a few of his electro stuff is catchy, but he's so much better at filter/disco. I always thought it would be cool if he and Guy ever teamed for a full on project such as Daft Punk. House Muzik 4 Life!
The French House Era has not going down and it will not going down either! Just because of new technology, the french house music don't have to be so monotone and soulless as it is now! do you agree or disagree ?

I can agree to a certain extent. It's just that tracks these days don't really move me like they used to. I'm surely not getting tired of the music. Everything just seems so "manufactured" these days instead of people taking the music into their own hands like they used to. Electro House has clearly taken over for the moment.
You are absolutely right about technological advances. I never really thought of French House as without soul or monotonous. I guess it's just my taste. I'm heavily into the Chicago House scene and interested in artists such as Stacy Kidd, Paul Johnson, and Gant Garrard.
It's nice for tracks to be a bit more complex than they may have used to be, but there's a fine line between that and over-producing to the point where tracks don't have any soul having been done clearly for financial gain. It can be the same as people being lazy and not really putting full potential into their releases.
Also, due to advances in technology labels aren't really pushing or pressing as many records as they used to because they can't sell as much. People love convenience, and with that comes changes that will surely hurt present technology (EX: Vinyl vs. Mp3).

I couldn't agree more. But most of the french house producers of back in the day are, for some inexplicable reason doing crappy music now, which is not a patch on what they did then.
Paul De H-C is doing absolutely terrible techno (Once U Go Black, anybody?), Raw Man is doing heavy metal, Cassius are..........well, Christ knows what they call it, but it ain't house! And anyone else who made decent house music is now making cold-feeling 80s electro รก la Alan Braxe, ie music with synthy pad chords and very basic rhythm tracks; generic electro, devoid of the individualism that made the french scene.
And Daft Punk made Human After All. Nuff said! :( "I'm Rick James, bitch!"

LOL! Thanks, Manuel and also "Welcome!"
The ex French House producers creating such crappy music now is painfully obvious. I was disappointed when I heard "Defender" by Alan Braxe and whoever else it was.
Sometimes I feel like House could really use a miracle, but of course, this is based on my personal preference.
